Green smoothie with dates and mintIf you have just started with green smoothies, then this is a good “beginner’s smoothie”. The dates sweetens it and the mint gives it spice. Even kids usually like this one.
Using a mixer instead of a juicer will include the fibers too. This recipe makes two portions. If no one else is brave enough to try it will keep in the fridge for a day.
2 portions, or 500 ml.
Cooking time 5 minutes for 2 portions




  • 70 g / 3 oz chard (or other green leaves)
  • 5 dried dates
  • 8 fresh mint leaves
  • 0.5 banana
  • 0.5 apple
  • 0.5 tbsp chia seeds
  • 200 ml / 7 oz water

Cooking instructionsHow to

  1. Chop the apple and the dates into pieces. Add everything together in a mixing bowl and mix the smoothie smooth. Done.
  2. Take a moment to be mindful – to think about your food and be aware of what you eat. Where does it come from? How was it produced? Who was involved and where in the world did that happen?
