Pescetarian, flexetarian or vegan?

VegetarianWhat will a pescetarian eat? Or a vegan? What do you cook for a flexetarian? There are many terms when it comes to vegetarianism or veganism. It is not easy keeping track of them all. Here is an overview.

Vegan

Different varieties of vegans are “junk food vegans” who will eat processed food all the way to “raw food vegans” who will only eat raw food. A hard core vegan will also avoid medicines containing gelatine or lactose (not recommended!) and clothes or other products deriving wholly or partly from animals or has damaged and animal during production. They are also called “Environmental vegans”. This included not wearing leather, silk or woll.

Lacto-Ovo-vegetarian

Eat everything a vegan eats, plus egg and dairy products. This is what people usually mean when they say someone is a vegetarian. They practice vegetarianism, and will not eat fish, poultry, sea food or meat.

Vegetarian Same as lacto-ovo-vegetarian.
Herbivore An animal that only eat plants, like a vegan.
Pescetarian / Pescatarian A vegetarian diet but also including fish and seafood.
