Kale chips – a healthy alternative

Kale chipsKale is often mentioned as one of the healthiest greens you can eat. Now you can also eat it as chips!

*The percentage of carbohydrates is low and fat is high. Guidelines are: carbohydrates 45-60 E%, fat 25-40 E% and protein 10-20%. In the combined meal the recommendations are met / more balanced. Try to compensate for this during the day.


  • 400 g / 14 oz  kale
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 pinches salt

Cooking instructionsHow to

  1. Heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius / gas mark 6 / 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse 400 g / 14 oz kale. Dry the kale with tissue so it is not wet. Tear away stalks and spread out the leaves on a baking tray. Pour over 2 tbsp olive oil and stir with your hands to the oil sticks to the leaves. Sprinkle over 2 pinches salt. Put in the oven for 20 minutes.
  2. Take a moment to be mindful and take a mini-pause. Set a timer and count the number of breaths you are breathing, in and out before it’s time to return to cooking.
  3. After 10 minutes turn the leaves. They should be crispy when they are done. Ready to serve.
